Matavia Filigree

Matavia Filigree is a beautiful looking 17 hh blk/brown Elite Hanoverian mare. She was professionally broken in and she was initially trained by a German rider. She was classified by Dr Ludwig Christmann from the German Verband into the Mare Main stud book with an average score of 8. She also had the top jumping score in Australia on the tour with a jumping scope 9.

We bought Fillie for her lovely bloodlines and we put her into foal to complete her Elite Mare classification . She was 5 she produced a super black filly by Riverside which was also Highly Commended by Dr Christmann on his Hanoverian assessment tour. She is by the Hanoverian stallion, Fishermans Friend (imp) who competed Grand Prix successfully when ridden by Tor Van Den Berge. She is out of a Gymnastik Star dam where she probably gets her jumping ability from. She is a lovely athletic moving mare and so after her foal was weaned we put her back into training.

She has an excellent temperament and a great work ethic, together with willingness and trainability. She has Prix St George movements established and would make a good schoolmaster at this level. She is now working Grand Prix movements and has great potential for someone who would like to take her further. Fillie is now doing one time flying changes, she is very quiet, has no vices and is sound. She is only 9 years old and has so much more scope to mature, strengthen and develop the movements in her dressage career.

This mare has had very little competition experience as I am mostly training young horses and do not have enough time.(this is reflected in her current low price for her quality) However, she has been out on numerous occasions and behaved very well.

Dam line

Gymnastik Star is by Gluckspliz dam sire Calypso II /Werther/Gottard with Cor De La Bryere bloodlines . He is a very elegant individual with great depth of performance breeding on both sides. He scored 123.23 in his performance test with 8's and 9's for character and trainability and, combined with his huge jumping ability, was elevated to Premium Class One status. His foals are very like their sire, very elegant, with the same expressive flowing movement, excellent trainability and stunning good looks.

Fishermans Friend completed his stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf with an index of 112.64 for jumping as well as 127.11 for dressage, showing his amazing versatility.
He is by Fabriano, who is the sire of 15 licensed sons and 120 State Premium Mares in Germany and is well known producer of both FEI showjumpers as well as dressage horses.

His dam, Penny Lane, is also known for producing wonderful rideability, and is by the Grand Prix Champion Pik Bube I.
